About Tony

Born and raised in Washington D.C. I am a Navy veteran - self-taught photojournalist who has been shooting since I was a kid. In 2010 I began shooting concerts professionally becoming the house photographer at the storied Howard Theatre in D.C.

In 2012/13 my focus shifted to photojournalism documenting protests. I’ve been blessed to have worked and been published with Black Entertainment Network, AT&T, ESPN/The Undefeated, Vice, Vogue, Weedmaps, and the National Park Service/1619 project.

I currently have work exhibited in the New Mexico Museum of Art, Full Circle Fine Art (Baltimore), and a virtual show at Roosevelt University Gage Gallery. I was also recognized as one of the Top Ten Veterans in journalism in 2020 by Military Veterans in Journalism.
