The “Black Shutter” is a reference to how Black people see the world. The shutter is both the eye and the camera shutter. As Black people in the diaspora, we witness the world in a unique way. We experience pain, joy, pride, adversities and everything in between. This shapes how we choose to capture our part of the world. We believe that our photos/videos are in direct relation to our experiences.
